WHAT’S IN A BATTERY?

 

Cells are packed in modules, which are packed in batteries which are controlled by Battery Management System (BSM)

 

 

High energy density thanks to NMC (Nickel Manganese Cadmium) Lithium-ion cells, providing the best trade-off between operating range and payload. Many components are already successful on the field as they are developed in-house or with our Partner.

 

 

 

We rely on a sustainable value chain through supply chain audits with suppliers, right back to the cobalt mines. Batteries are assembled in Europe. Vehicles are assembled in France.

 

 

 

Recycling under Renault Trucks responsibility as soon as batteries are brought back to dealer. 2 nd life for batteries offer many possibilities such as stationary equipment in passive energy constructions or solar power plants. Recycling is also key to secure a sustainable electromobility. Renault Trucks and the Volvo Group are fully involved in this area which will develop as the market becomes more important.
